Awarded Two Stars since 2021 and equipped since 2023 with an AIR CONDITIONING system for the 9 rooms upstairs, L'Hôtel des Voyageurs is a small, warm, very quiet family hotel with excellent value for money. , especially in the surroundings of Rocamadour. The building was built at the end of the 19th century and is ideally located opposite the small Rocamadour train station.
At the intersection of the GR 46 and the path to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, this is a privileged location for all walkers. In addition, the attached parking lot is free, whatever the duration. Access is thus facilitated for people with reduced mobility who can reserve our prestigious PMR Room on the ground floor.
Since 2018, Sylvie and Meindert, happy owners and your permanent hosts, have worked enormously to restore the interior and exterior of this ancient heritage. 9 rooms have been completely renovated and equipped with air conditioning, and all of them now have their ownbathroom, with toilet and shower and television.
A significant investment was also made to bring the hotel up to standard in terms of safety, environmental requirements and energy savings. The rooms are furnished and decorated to their taste, combining old-world charm and contemporary comfort.
The Hôtel des Voyageurs gives you the benefit of an excellent location for visiting Rocamadour and the Padirac chasm (must be booked during school holidays), accessible in a few minutes. If you stay a few days, you can find many distractions in the surroundings of the hotel:
There are various attractions in Rocamadour such as the Rocher des Aigles, the Monkey Forest and the Dinoparc; as well as the Durandal equestrian show, among many others to discover on the website www.vallee-dordogne.com.
Around Rocamadour, you will find several villages among the "most beautiful villages in France" and picturesque such as Autoire, Loubressac, Floirac and Carrennac. Martel and Figeac are also worth the trip.
From August 15 to 26, 2024 you can attend the Rocamadour Festival, a festival famous for its classical music played by world-renowned artists such as Roberto ALAGNA or Renaud CAPUCON.
For 30 years, every 4th weekend of September, the MONTGOLFIADES of Rocamadour have taken place. At the heart of a dizzying site, surrounded by vertical cliffs and a sweeping 360° panorama, dozens of hot air balloons of all shapes take off, coming from all directions. An unmissable and unique event! Book very early!
